American Clay Colors and Application
Each 50 lb. bag of American Clay can be tinited with a colo pack
in one of 32 standard colors.  The price of the plaster will
depend on the finish and color you choose.

Natural oxides, pigments and ochres may vary from batch to
batch, please reserve some product for touch-ups or repairs.

American Clay Earth Plaster is a practical, environmentally friendly alternative to cement, gypsum, acrylic,
and lime plasters. It is compatible with the “breathable” construction recommended for both historic and
new buildings.

Our plasters have a far longer working time than other plasters—up to several days if you need it—so you
can take your time and work with confidence that the surface won’t “set” before you’ve achieved just the
finish you want. Besides, there’s no waste. You can reuse any excess plaster—even after you’ve mixed it
and it’s dried. Just break it up and rehydrate it. Our plasters can be troweled on like traditional plasters,
but you can also spray them on with a drywall hopper.
American Clay Finishes

American Clay Earth Plasters surround your family or workplace with the warm beauty of soothing
texture and rich color - far exceeding the interior surfaces produced by traditional paint, stucco, or other
finishes. Earth Plasters are non-dusting, mold and fade resistant, repairable and moisture controlling.

American Clay Loma - Presents many opportunities for creative application.  Like traditional plasters, you
can work American Clay Loma into a soft matte finish or very its texture with different tools and
techniques.  A tile sponge will create a lightly "sanded" texture.  A plastic trowel will leave a smooth - but
slightly porous surface.

50 lb. bag coverage: 80 to 120 square feet in two coats depending on the substrate.

American Clay Porcelina - cures to a satin, almost texture-free surface.  Prized by artisans for centuries,
this surface resembles fine marble.  Using more than one color, American Clay Porcelina will blend to
produce the mottled appearance of Venetian plaster.  To achieve a burnished, honed surface - just
smooth with a plastic trowel.

50 lb. bag coverage: 250 to 300 square feet single coat over a single base coat of Loma.

Easy to use- easy on hands
Our natural earth plaster creates a healthy, wholesome environment for your family and
friends.  Clay naturally controls the interior climate by absorbing and releasing moisture in
response to environmental changes.  Walls are warm to the touch in winter and surprisingly
cool in summer.  Our patent pending process assures a durable, dust-free veneer plaster.
What's more, our natural earth finishes do not provide a "home" for mold growth, nor do
they emit potentially harmful gases from petroleum-based additives or formaldehydes.
American Clay's Commitment to the Environment
American Clay Earth plaster is a unique patent pending combination of natural clays,
aggregates, and pigments which create colors and textures that make our plasters a natural
choice for beautiful walls.  Available in 32 inviting colors, you can match any color scheme or
interior decor.

However, our commitment to quality is more than surface deep.  Unlike some traditional
plasters whose manufacture requires high heat, the chemical properties of American Clay
plasters are not altered in any way by the manufacturing process.  Our earth plasters are
formulated from materials found in the United States and manufactured in the Southwest.
With low energy used during the manufacturing process and virtually no building-site waste in
application, we have created American Clay Natural Earth plasters with a commitment to the
environment and the future.
